Aparna has worked for Stock Holding Corporation of India Ltd (SHCIL) that was the country’s largest domestic securities custodian.
She has also completed her training in the Derivatives Module conducted by the Bombay Stock Exchange. Joined as a Management trainee she rose through the levels to become a Deputy Manager in charge of Corporate Actions for major Institutional clients like UTI, LIC, SBIMF and Morgan Stanley.
She has worked both in the primary market operations and the secondary market department and is well versed with the various investment options in these segments.
While working for Stock Holding Corporation of India, she has acquired hands-on experience in various financial products as SHCIL had established itself in India as a one-stop solution provider in the Financial Services domain. Having worked as part of the retail client servicing segment she has knowledge about the various investment tools including mutual funds, pension plans, Insurance plans, etc.
She also holds a master’s degree in Information technology from the University of Chennai and has worked for 3 years as a guest lecturer. Her qualification in Information technology and her work experience in the finance domain help her to effectively combine the working knowledge with state-of-art technology.
She has close to 3 years ‘ work experience in a leading content development company. She has played a pivotal role in getting finance articles written by in-house and remote writers by providing suitable training, getting the articles approved by Subject Matter Experts.
She is currently a freelance writer on various domains including finance.
